The Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club is the host for the 141st Open Championship, set to begin on Thursday, July 19. American amateur Bobby Jones won The Open the first time it was played at this year's host course in 1926. Back then he had to pay to play and became the only champion to ever have to do so.
The last time it was played here in 2001, David Duval got his lone major win, but it will also be forever remembered by the two-stroke penalty the overnight leader on Sunday, Ian Woosnam, had to take after he discovered he had 15 clubs in his bag—one more than allowed.
This year the first two majors have come down to the last hole and you can expect nothing less from The Open Championship as it should provide plenty of challenges to the 156-player field.
Thursday 19 and Friday 20: the action starts at 4:00 a.m. EDT with coverage of holes nine, 10 and 11. An hour later, the focus will be on holes one and 18. Finally, at 7:00 a.m. you'll be able to watch live stream from different players.
Saturday 21: the third round coverage starts at 5:00 a.m. A half-hour later there will be a special stream on holes nine, 10 and 11. At 7:00 a.m. they'll switch to holes one and 18, and the last part of the coverage begins at 9:00 with special monitoring of the whole field.
Sunday 22: catch holes one and 18 and highlights from the final round at 6:00 a.m. The second part of the coverage starts at 8 a.m.
