You really need to be able to anticipate where the ball will bounce, which, of course, is much easier said than done.
The 2012 event will be the eleventh Open Championship to be played at Royal Lytham & St Annes. The last was in 2001, when David Duval of the U.S. won his first major championship, finishing three strokes clear of runner-up Niclas Fasth. Tom Lehman of the U.S. won the previous Open at the venue, in 1996.
